The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh. Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side under the glove box Tools: 10 mm wrench and T-15 screwdriver.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- Remove the two bolts that secure the trim panel to the bottom of the glove box by a 10 mm wrench.
- Remove the trim panel which under the glovebox.
- Carefully disconnect the 2 light connectors form the trim panel.
- Remove the 2 screws that secure the filter cover by a T-15 screwdriver.
- Remove the filter cover and old filter.
- Insert your new cabin air filter.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure and it’s done.
