FreshenOPT F-1132C
The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh. Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side of the vehicle behind or inside the glove box. Tools: None
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- Open the glovebox. On the right-hand side of the glovebox you will see a rod connected to the glovebox (Dampener rod). Remove the arm by closing a bit the glovebox while pulling the arm forward and off the shaft it is hooked to.
- Push in on both side of the glovebox while pulling it downward until you disengage the stops on each side of the glovebox.
- You will see the cabin air filter cover. Remove the cover and frame by grabbing the cabin filter cover and pulling it straight out. The cabin air filter is attached to the cover and will be removed at the same time.
- Remove the old filter from the frame by pushing it up. And install your new cabin air filter into the frame and ensure that the new cabin air filter is securely tucked under all the retaining tabs on the frame.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure. Make sure the dampener rod is reconnected.
- Close the glovebox and it’s done.
